CHAN FOR CONGRESS

Voters Gather at City Hall to Rally, Drop Ballot for Connie

Published May 2026

On Friday, May 15, supporters of Connie Chan’s campaign for U.S. Congress gathered on the Polk Street steps at City Hall for a spirited get-out-the-vote event.

Chan fired up the crowd, which included teamsters, electrical workers, and many more trades members, along with members of SEIU and some IFPTE folks — all of them united with the broader community of San Franciscans backing Chan’s run.

After the rally, supporters headed to a secure ballot drop-off box around the corner to cast their early votes supporting the District 1 supervisor’s congressional bid.

Three days later, on Monday, May 18, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi officially announced her endorsement for Chan.
