On Tuesday, July 14, the 18th annual William Hammond Hall Awards were held at the Harding Park Clubhouse on San Francisco’s west side. The ceremony brings park employees together with union and city leaders to honor excellent stewardship of the City’s parkland by members of the trades who work for the park system. The awards are a joint presentation of SF Rec and Parks, Laborers Local 261, the SF Rec and Park Commission, the SF Building Trades Council, and UA Local 38.

This year’s honorees included carpenter Joe Darcy; ornamental ironworker Jeff Hinton; chief stationary engineer George Cumberland; painter Oscar Becerra-Lemus; plumber Rico Zucconi; electrician Declan Sharkey; park section supervisor Andy Kushner; natural resource specialist Carolyn Grigas; and gardeners Chance Goshorn, Brendan O’Keefe, Jenn Ho, and Matthew Strader. Congratulations to all!
